Upkeep
Hedge and shrub trimming
Hedges cut straight and at the right height, clippings cleared, once or twice a year. Counts as upkeep for the tax credit.
A hedge trimmed at the right moment stays dense from the ground up. Left three years, it goes bare at the bottom and has to be cut back hard. We keep yours at the height and width you want, and we clear every clipping.
What is included
- Trimming of sides and tops, with scaffolding or a platform for tall hedges
- Shaping of shrubs and topiary
- Raking and removal of all clippings
- Advice on the right period for each species
Good to know
The Civil Code sets planting distances: anything that grows taller than 2 metres must stand at least 2 metres from the boundary, anything else at least 50 centimetres, unless local rules say otherwise. A hedge planted closer must therefore be kept under 2 metres. Your neighbour can ask you to cut back branches that overhang, but may not cut them himself.
We avoid heavy cutting in spring and early summer, when birds are nesting.
Plants guaranteed a yearReplaced if they fail to take, watering advice followed.
